Possibly the most gripping softcore melodrama I've seen, this was David Lynch's daughter's directoral debut. Rather beautifully filmed, and deeply disturbing, a pit slowly grew in my stomach from start to finish. Features one of Sherilyn Fenn's better performances. Julian Sands over-acts his lead role, but he's so consistent that I eventually bought it.
I didn't expect much, but Boxing Helena pulled me in. A thick atmosphere and simple but effective plot development elevate this above its many otherwise mediocre elements.
