Good clean mechwarrior fun. Robot Jox has some issues with acting, cheesy dialog, and slow pacing. But it is still the best giant mech fighting movie I've ever seen. The script isn't brilliant by any means, but it's actually rather original. The mech battles are a bit clunky, but the weapon innovation keeps them interesting, and they aren't drawn out or boring. The miniature and related FX work in general is really impressive. Robot Jox is able to achieve in painting an interesting, cohesive, futuristic world despite significant budget constraints. As an eerie bonus for watching this during covid times, everyone wears N95 masks when they're outside on the streets.
